Achieving your Potential

Although this section is called 'Achieving Your Potential' that is really because I simply cannot think what else to call it. It might just have easily been entitled 'Motivation' or 'Quotations' or 'Inspiration' or 'Live life to the full' or a host of other things. It is a miscellany of ideas many of which may be familiar to you but all of which are designed to help you to improve your self-esteem, to achieve your potential, to think or simply to be amused. It would be nice to claim that some of the thoughts are original but I have discovered over the years that there is little new in the world of achieving your potential. I like the modern quote - "It is not what happens to you that determines the quality of your life, but how you respond to what happens to you that determines the quality of your life." But Socrates said something similar in the 5th Century BC - "Nothing can harm a good man, either in life or in death." It is not what is done to the good man that counts, it is who and what he is and how he responds.

In some cases the material comes from notes I have made over the years and I don't know the source - any clues as to where they come from would be appreciated.
